WELCOME TO MY ON-LINE PORTFOLIO...

This site contains a sampling of my work and design stylings. I take great pride in the attention to detail I give my work and in being able to capturing both the essence of the project as well as the individual personality of the client. Design is more than just a symbolic representation of a product, it should attempt to educate with a glance (hopefully followed by a thoughtful pause.) When searching to find the right identity for a client, there is no one singular answer. It is only though experimentation and communication that the best possible conclusion can be reached. For me, this journey is one of the rewarding parts of the job.

I consider myself to be, not only a designer and an artist, but also an educator. Whether creating a logo, printed piece, website or illustration there are always a number of things to consider, beyond the visible surface. It is important to look at sub context, association and the echo of the piece. A tree is never just a tree, nor is a bee ever just a bee. Like it or not, even when we create something new, it has a history. If something is designed well, this history can be an advantage- rather than a disadvantage.

It is also very important to consider function. Graphic design is "working art" and has a job to do. A beautiful website is of no use, if the visitor can not find the information they seek. It is important to define the "job" of a piece and how it will be used. There are many ways to improve the usability of a design and my job is to make it work for you.
